Adult Learning Center
If you have left school and are 16 years old or over, consider resuming your education at the Adult Learning Center located at 24 Chatham Street in Worcester. English proficiency, GED preparation and basic literacy skills classes are available at no cost to you. Our teachers are talented, experienced and certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Why not see for yourself what we have to offer! Remember, a good education is the key to a better life!
Adult Literacy
Let us help you acquire basic survival skills that will make life a little easier for you. Don't depend on others to help you balance your checkbook, buy a TV or go food shopping. We are here to help you help yourself. See what we have to offer!
ESL
You really need to speak, write and understand English if you want to be successful and independent. The Adult Learning Center has provided English proficiency services to non-English speaking adults since 1970. Convenient hours, easily accessible and free of charge. Why wait? Be in charge of your own life and don’t let your age bother you. Adults 18 years of age and older are welcome!
GED
The Adult Learning Center located in the Fanning Building at 24 Chatham Street in Worcester is the largest official testing center in central Massachusetts. Our GED examiners are state approved and up-to-date on all GED regulations.

Policy Information
  • All Night Life Classes follow the Worcester Public Schools cancellation policy. If the Worcester Public Schools cancels classes, then there are NO Night Life Classes.
  • Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis so please register early. We will cancel any class with insufficient enrollment.
  • Tuition for all courses must be paid in full at the time of registration and you may register through the first night of class.
  • We accept all major credit cards and checks for payment. No cash accepted.
